OK, well, if you have ever experienced a UTI before, than you know the agonizing annoyance associated with one. They hurt, and that's all you think about until you can relieve it.
Here's some information on a Urinary Tract Infection/s.
Lower UTI's are more common in women than in men. The reason being is the fact that we simply have shorter urethra's ( pee tubes) and the fact that our urethra's are closer to our rectum and vaginal canal. About 86% of the UTI's are caused from the wonderful bacteria E.Coli .
Most Doctor's will tell you to wipe from front to back (as if we don't know that already). To pee before and after sex ( hang on honey, I have to pee first). To abstain from citrus and caffeinated beverages (Noooo, not my coffee). Stay away from baths and hot tubs and to drink lots and lots of fluids.
Most women experience painful urination, the feeling that you didn't empty your bladder even though you just did. Frequency, pain around your pubic hair area ( that's around where your bladder is) and sometimes lower back pain. You can experience cramping, like with PMS, itching, fever and chills. You will sometimes see that you urine is dark, bloody, or very cloudy looking.
To fix it, call your DR. ,explain your symptoms. He might have you pee in a cup and have your pee examined and in the meantime prescribe you an antibiotic. Drink lotsa water and don't forget to pee before you do anything at all...(joke)... If your UTI is recurrent, than you most likely have an antibacterial resistance or possibly kidney stone.
FYI , men can get them too, but most of the time the cause is related to the kidney or kidney stones.
